Funds Ratings Associate/Associate Director

Responsibilities

• Assist with credit research on a variety of funds, closed-end funds, and other investment vehicles
• Assist with the development of rating and analytical tools such as cash flow and asset coverage models
• Prepare and present quantitative and qualitative internal credit memos and publications
• Participate in diligence meetings with fund management teams to assess investment acumen and risk management
• Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases
• Collaborate with experts in project finance, corporate finance, financial institutions, and structured finance
• Lead credit ratings processes and research efforts for Associate Director level

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Math, or a highly analytical field
• 4 to 8 years of experience as a credit analyst
• Experience in fund lending, investing, or structured finance
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel and cash flow modeling
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-growing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL and VBA
• Progression towards CFA designation
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools for research and productivity
