Funding Specialist

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate supporting documentation for consumer loan applications to prevent fraud
• Interpret loan approvals and verify that all conditions and requirements have been met
• Ensure all loans comply with Credit Union and regulatory guidelines
• Monitor loan queues and service requests to ensure timely responsiveness
• Provide quality service when communicating with members and business partners
• Complete daily departmental functions, including running and reviewing reports
• Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes and efficiency

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of consumer loan processing experience (Associate level requires 1 year; Specialist level requires 2 years)
• Ability to analyze and interpret credit reports
• Proficient mathematical and analytical skills, including rate, ratio, and percentage calculations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision
