Funding Specialist

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate supporting documentation for consumer loan applications to prevent fraud and ensure quality control
• Interpret loan approvals and conditions to verify all requirements have been met
• Ensure all loans comply with Credit Union and regulatory guidelines
• Proactively monitor loan queues and service requests to ensure timely responsiveness
• Provide high-quality service when communicating with members and business partners
• Complete daily departmental functions, including running and reviewing reports
• Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes and efficiency
• Assist in functional area testing for system upgrades and enhancements

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• For Associate level: Minimum 1 year of consumer loan processing experience OR 2 years of customer service/clerical experience
• For Specialist level: Minimum 2 years of consumer loan processing experience
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including rate, ratio, and percentage calculations
• Ability to interpret credit reports
• Proficiency in navigating multiple interdependent systems and tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the communities served by Travis Credit Union
