About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain global clean products and renewables supply-demand and balance models, monitoring production, refining demand, inventory trends, and global trade flows
- Analyze differentials, quality impacts, and arbitrage opportunities to provide proactive ad-hoc analytics
- Deliver timely market intelligence and insights to trading, scheduling, and origination teams to support commercial decision-making
- Ensure accuracy and integrity across market databases, models, and reporting outputs
- Provide regular market updates and forward-looking analysis highlighting risks, opportunities, and structural shifts
- Translate complex market dynamics into actionable strategies using modeling, visualization, and analytical tools
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marine, or a related discipline
- 3+ years of related experience in commodity or market analysis
- Proficiency in analytical modeling and scenario analysis
- Experience working with large datasets (e.g., AIS, market data feeds, pricing services)
- Strong ability to communicate complex analytical findings to commercial stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of commodity supply-demand fundamentals, including production, refining, and global trade patterns
- Experience analyzing market differentials, quality impacts, and regional pricing benchmarks
- Exposure to clean products and renewables markets (tankers, dry bulk, or LNG/LPG)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
