About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage the financial reporting workflow for multiple client relationships.
  • Lead and develop a team of 4-6 Full-Time Employees (FTEs), including training and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and regulatory filings.
  • Review financial/regulatory reports and related working papers to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Identify risk issues and breaches, following established escalation chains and operating procedures.
  • Manage process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flows.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and strengthen controls.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex issues and coordinate with home-site client service teams to manage auditor and client queries.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting or a financial services environment.
  • Strong expertise in statutory reporting and the application of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills with experience developing staff.
  • Post Graduate degree (CA, CPA, or CFA preferred) or a Bachelor's degree with Big 4/mid-tier accounting firm experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment and meet strict industry deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of managed investment funds and relevant investment products.
  • Experience in driving operational efficiencies and managing large-scale projects.
