Fund Accounting - Assistant Vice President

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day fund accounting operations and oversight teams to ensure NAV accuracy and SLA compliance
• Act as the primary contact and key escalation point for operational issues, providing technical expertise to resolve daily problems
• Oversee service delivery and production activities performed by staff in conjunction with Shared Service teams and Client Operations
• Manage department overtime budgets and assist with compliance, fiduciary reviews, controls, and audits
• Coordinate the implementation of new funds, systems, and processes, including client conversions and projects
• Train, develop, and motivate staff through performance appraisals, coaching, and professional development
• Assess the impact of regulatory changes and implement consistent operational best practices

Requirements

• 12+ years of overall professional experience, including at least 5 years in a management or supervisory capacity
• Extensive expertise in Hedge Fund Accounting and NAV calculation
• Deep knowledge of trading instruments including Equities, Options, Bonds, Futures, Spots, Forwards, and Derivatives
• Proficiency in Corporate Actions, Income & Expense accruals, SEC Yields, and Distributions
• Strong personnel management skills with a proven ability to lead, coach, and develop direct reports
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an executive presence

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a business-related specialization
• Significant prior experience within an audit firm or a major financial services organization
