Fund Accounting Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee Dalian Fund Accounting operations and handle back-office administrative work for distributors
• Support fund setup, closure, and repurposing activities
• Lead fund audits and reviews while maintaining relationships with fund auditors
• Resolve issues arising from daily NAV calculation and reporting promptly
• Act as a business analyst for global Asset Management Operations initiatives and key projects
• Analyze operational impacts of regulatory changes and implement necessary process adjustments
• Lead technical initiatives and process improvements to drive business efficiency
• Serve as a technical contact for vendors during periodic service reviews
• Support BCP procedures, Fund Suspension Playbooks, and Disaster Recovery testing
• Monitor operational risk and escalate immediate issues to senior management
• Support the Head of Fund Accounting Japan with Board Reporting and key performance metrics

Requirements

• 5-6 years of experience in Japanese Investment Trust Fund Accounting
• Proven experience working within a Trust Bank or Asset Management firm
• Extensive knowledge of Japanese investment trust accounting, financial reporting, and relevant regulations
• Fluent Japanese communication skills (verbal and written)
• Advanced or Business-level English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience working within a global or regional team environment
