About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise subordinate staff including Associates and Officers
  • Manage internal workflows and ensure all client deadlines are met
  • Maintain direct relationships with client personnel and fund investors
  • Review quarterly and annual financial work paper packages, including portfolio schedules and partner capital allocations
  • Oversee the preparation of capital calls, distributions, and management fee calculations
  • Review periodic bank and cash reconciliations and post journal entries
  • Coordinate annual audits and tax return preparation with external accounting firms
  • Identify and escalate any unusual or suspicious transaction activity in accordance with corporate policy

Requirements

  • College degree in business, mathematics, finance, or economics
  • At least 7 years of professional accounting experience
  • 3 to 4 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong technical investment accounting knowledge and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the private equity industry
  • CPA certification
  • Proficiency with Investran or other partnership accounting applications
