Fund Accountant

Responsibilities

• Generate and review quarterly partnership financial statements and partner capital statements
• Prepare work papers, capital call and distribution notices, and calculate carried interest
• Allocate profits and losses in accordance with governing documents
• Monitor fund performance, track cash flows, and prepare investor reports
• Respond to investor inquiries
• Analyze partnership and investment documents to set up investment structures and subsidiaries
• Support external audit functions during quarterly reviews and year-end audits
• Investigate and resolve audit findings and account discrepancies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a private equity fund accounting position
• Experience with partnership accounting and partnership tax rules
• Solid comprehension of GAAP, ASC 946, and the Investment Company Act of 1940
• Experience with investor reporting and CRM practices
• Intermediate MS Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems
