About the role
Responsibilities
- Generate and review quarterly partnership financial statements and partner capital statements
- Prepare work papers, capital call and distribution notices, and calculate carried interest
- Allocate profits and losses in accordance with governing documents
- Monitor fund performance, track cash flows, and prepare investor reports
- Respond to investor inquiries
- Analyze partnership and investment documents to set up investment structures and subsidiaries
- Support external audit functions during quarterly reviews and year-end audits
- Investigate and resolve audit findings and account discrepancies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a private equity fund accounting position
- Experience with partnership accounting and partnership tax rules
- Solid comprehension of GAAP, ASC 946, and the Investment Company Act of 1940
- Experience with investor reporting and CRM practices
- Intermediate MS Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems
