Fund Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end fund accounting for Collective Investment Schemes with a focus on daily pricing and client reporting
• Process and set up audit, trustee, custody, and management fees
• Ensure Variation Margin is processed correctly and matches Clearing House Statements daily
• Capture and process 3rd party duplication trades accurately to match valuation reports
• Manage client cash flows, including subscriptions and redemptions, and reconcile units in issue to Transfer Agency
• Execute daily unitisation and ensure valuation of financial instruments (equities, bonds, derivatives) align with fund performance
• Monitor and perform income distribution calculations for each fund class
• Run, check, and distribute daily and monthly client reports
• Handle internal and external client queries efficiently in conjunction with the Client Delivery team
• Maintain appropriate controls to mitigate risk and support team deliverables for new client take-ons

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant Fund Accounting experience specifically within Collective Investment Schemes
• Proven experience with Investment reporting systems
• Strong Excel skills
• Relevant tertiary qualification (BCom Finance, Accounting, or Investments)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with daily pricing and unitisation processes
• Ability to work under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
