Fund Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end portfolio fund accounting including transactions, reconciliations, valuations, and corporate action processing
• Prepare Net Asset Value (NAV) workpapers, performance reports, and investor statements
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements including statements of assets and liabilities, operations, and cash flows
• Ensure accurate accounting for various investments such as equities, fixed income, options, futures, and private equity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Understanding of investments, securities, and financial markets
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a fund administrator, hedge fund, private equity fund, or in audit roles
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg and Paxus
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Ability to work periodic overtime
