Fund Accountant I

Responsibilities

• Perform fund valuation processes to calculate net asset valuations (NAV) for assigned mutual funds or investment products
• Update, analyze, and reconcile security trading activity received from fund advisors daily
• Ensure all fund transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system
• Provide fund advisors with accurate forecasted available cash each morning
• Reconcile fund accounting records for custodians, transfer agents, and middle office daily
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and deliver periodic requests for annual fund audits
• Collaborate with Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, and Middle Office departments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles
• Understanding of financial instruments including stocks, bonds, options, and futures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills
