Functional Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define test and validation plans for hardware and software solutions
• Write test scenarios and cases based on functional requirements
• Ensure full traceability between requirements, test cases, and results
• Execute validation campaigns on PC, simulators, test benches, and directly on trains
• Analyze results, investigate anomalies, and identify root causes
• Write test reports and follow up on corrective actions
• Participate in technical reviews and project follow-up meetings

Requirements

• Engineering degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electronics, Automation, or Industrial Engineering
• Experience in functional validation, verification, or system testing in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of V-cycle verification and validation activities
• Proficiency in requirement traceability and test coverage
• Ability to analyze complex anomalies and conduct technical investigations
• Sensitivity to embedded systems and critical environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing test plans, procedures, and validation reports
• Familiarity with technical environments such as JIRA, ClearQuest, or ControlBuild
