About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure functional safety in the design, development, and validation of Body and thermal features
- Provide functional safety guidance on feature definition and identify hazards from electrical malfunctions
- Perform vehicle-level HARA and conduct safety analyses including DFMEA, FTA, and FMEDA
- Develop safety mechanisms such as redundancy architectures, hardware diagnostics, and fail-safe designs
- Develop test cases to verify safety mechanisms on LabCar and Vehicle test assets using HiL environments
- Collaborate with Diagnostics, Platform, Controls, and Electrical Systems teams
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related discipline
- 2-3 years of automotive industry experience at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Experience with electronic hardware fault diagnosis and circuit debugging
- Proficiency in CAN, LIN, or Ethernet network analysis
- Proven knowledge of ISO 26262
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotics systems (servo control, position sensing, or electromechanical actuators)
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts applied to automotive safety
