Functional Area Analyst III

Responsibilities

• Extract, transform, load, and verify U.S. current and future force structure data across Air, Land, Sea, Space, Cyber, and Special Operations domains
• Develop and maintain methodologies to capture and present historical operations databases for Department-wide strategic studies
• Build and enhance integrated databases containing military data to support force planning and capability studies
• Collaborate with DOD stakeholders to acquire data and document quality constraints
• Develop automated tools and processes to expedite data acquisition and implement systemic transformation routines
• Create and tailor datasets for use in models, simulations, and analytic methods
• Provide subject matter expertise on data development and capability readiness analysis to support technical studies and rapid assessments

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• 8 years of experience in military operations or operations research (e.g., munitions, readiness, deployment routines, or force/capability development)
• 8 years of experience working with DOD stakeholders to collect and refine complex datasets
• Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Experience with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) or intelligence collection and analysis
