Fumigator

Responsibilities

• Perform container, tarp, and vessel fumigations following SGS guidelines and SOPs
• Execute container fumigations for pre-shipment and quarantine
• Generate documentation for vessel and quarantined container fumigations
• Accomplish inspection requirements according to job scope
• Maintain constant communication with operations and keep accurate logs
• Follow all safety procedures and government regulations pertaining to fumigation
• Deliver samples to the laboratory for analysis
• Support ad hoc projects such as grain grading training or field risk assessments

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• 1–3 years of previous fumigating experience is an asset
• Ability to obtain Pesticide Applicator Licence, Confined Space Training Level 1, First Aid Level 1, WHMIS, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certifications
