Gorgias is building the platform for Conversational Commerce, creating a unified AI agent that sells, supports, and re-engages customers across the entire ecommerce journey. We aim to turn every brand-customer interaction into a personal, seamless, and intelligent relationship.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the AI agent platform to ensure scalability, resilience, and high availability
• Design and implement monitoring and observability strategies using tools like Datadog or Grafana
• Collaborate across teams to integrate AI-driven features into the customer support ecosystem
• Optimize system performance, resource usage, and cost-effective solutions
• Contribute to strategic decision-making regarding system design and long-term scalability
• Mentor junior engineers and help shape the engineering culture

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable web applications
• Deep expertise in system design, microservices, cloud-native, and event-driven architecture
• Strong experience in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and cloud computing platforms
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry
• Proven ownership over large-scale projects from design to deployment
• Experience working in cross-functional, product-focused teams
