Fullstack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end engineering of Nerve, a platform enabling human feedback for large action models through tasking, gameplay recording, and payout management.
• Integrate with C#/.NET game recorders via WebSocket JSON-RPC and manage the Electron main/renderer split and IPC.
• Develop anti-cheat and fraud detection systems to prevent faked gameplay, input spoofing, and manipulated recordings.
• Own the financial infrastructure using Java/Spring Boot and Postgres, ensuring an immutable and auditable ledger for earnings and payouts.
• Build administrative tools and user interfaces using Next.js, TypeScript, and React.
• Harden the full stack security, including mTLS, OIDC-authenticated webhooks, and encrypted auth tokens on GCP.
• Manage marketplace mechanics and cohort systems for A/B testing task configurations to optimize data quality.
• Implement legal and compliance tooling, including geofencing, GDPR fulfillment, and worker-classification guardrails.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Electron (main/renderer and IPC) and deep Node.js knowledge.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot and Postgres, specifically regarding transaction isolation and query optimization.
• Strong frontend skills in TypeScript and React (Zustand, Vite, Next.js).
• Experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, GCS, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager) and Terraform.
• Ability to work on-site in New York City.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C#/.NET and WebSocket JSON-RPC.
• Familiarity with media processing tools like ffprobe or video encoding.
• Experience building high-integrity financial or payment systems.
