Full-Time Faculty - Department of Agriculture and Environmental Science

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in agriculture and environmental science
• Engage in scholarly activity appropriate to the discipline
• Advise and mentor students academically and professionally
• Actively support and guide student research projects
• Assist students in securing internships and career development opportunities
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service
• Uphold and support the Christian mission and values of Abilene Christian University

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Agriculture, Biology, Wildlife Science, Range Ecology, or a closely related field
• Ability to teach undergraduate courses in agriculture and/or environmental science
• Subject matter expertise in areas such as Rangeland Ecology, Wildlife Management, Energy Resources, or Soil Science
• Commitment to integrating faith and learning in alignment with the university mission
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collegial, student-centered approach
• Must be a professing Christian and an active, faithful member of a congregation of the Churches of Christ

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience at the college or university level
• Experience working with undergraduate research and experiential learning opportunities
• Professional or applied experience in agriculture or environmental science fields
