Full Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features that improve provider, parent, and government experiences
• Own the full development lifecycle, from scoping and architecture to implementation and production support
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with strong test coverage and debug production issues across the stack
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to solve real customer problems
• Design systems and data models that support complex workflows and improve platform scalability
• Use AI tools and automation to increase development velocity and engineering leverage

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a full stack engineer
• Strong experience with modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript)
• Proficiency with backend systems (Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Elixir, or similar)
• Experience working with relational databases (Postgres or similar)
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality code and ship production systems end-to-end
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building complex or enterprise-grade systems with multiple integrations
• Experience designing APIs (REST or GraphQL)
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containerization, or serverless architectures
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience incorporating AI into products or development workflows

• Base salary range of $180,000 – $220,000 (California) plus potential equity
