About the Company

Orcrist builds the Orcrist Intelligence Platform (OIP), a Kubernetes-based data intelligence system delivered as SaaS or self-hosted/on-prem. We turn complex, multi-modal data into actionable intelligence for defense, law-enforcement, and enterprise teams.

Responsibilities

• Prototype thin vertical slices across React/Next.js UI, Node.js APIs, and supporting storage/search integrations
• Collaborate with PM & Design in time-boxed discovery cycles to iterate quickly and validate assumptions
• Align prototypes with shared primitives including feature flags, auth flows, and multitenancy
• Integrate workflows touching streaming/orchestration like Kafka or Temporal
• Ship adoption packages including documentation, interfaces, and schemas to reduce handoff friction

Requirements

• 3+ years building production web applications and APIs in TypeScript (React/Next.js + Node)
• Strong product-engineering instincts to turn ambiguity into tight prototype scopes
• Practical API and data-layer skills with PostgreSQL
• Comfortable working in Kubernetes/GitOps environments
• Security-conscious approach to access control and privacy/PII handling
• Eligible to work in Germany

Preferred Qualifications

• Real-time UI experience (WebSockets/WebRTC, CRDT/OT)
• Complex visualization experience (Cytoscape, D3, Mapbox, or Cesium)
• Python comfort for data/ML integration
• German language proficiency (B1+)
• Experience with regulated or mission-critical systems
