About the role

About the Company

Feathery automates data intake workflows for insurance and wealth management firms. Industry leaders rely on Feathery to power mission-critical workflows like underwriting, client onboarding, and automated account openings.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems
  • Develop APIs and services that power core product functionality
  • Build intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces
  • Build and scale backend services for workflow automation and data processing
  • Develop asynchronous pipelines and distributed systems for handling large volumes of data
  • Work with AWS services and queueing systems to support scalable infrastructure
  • Implement user interfaces using modern frameworks like React
  • Partner with product and design to define and build new features

Requirements

  • Background in computer science with hands-on experience building applications
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React)
  • Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Node.js or Django
  • Experience designing APIs and working with distributed systems or asynchronous processing
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building workflow tools, internal platforms, or data-heavy applications
  • Familiarity with document processing, OCR, or AI/ML integrations
  • Experience with drag-and-drop interfaces or complex frontend state management
  • Experience optimizing systems for high throughput and low latency
  • Background or interest in financial services or regulated industries
  • Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company
