Full Stack Engineer

CivilGrid is a venture-backed Series A startup providing a civil design platform for infrastructure renewal. The platform consolidates utility records and geotechnical data to help engineering firms and municipalities plan and build safer, faster.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end features from database models to React user-facing components
• Develop web and mobile applications, mapping interfaces, and data processing pipelines
• Profile and tune performance across the entire stack
• Implement analytics, health monitoring, alerts, and logging for system reliability
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
• Proficiency with React and Node.js
• Experience working on complex B2B products
• Degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in Boston, MA (at least 2 days per week)

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge of Postgres
• Familiarity with geospatial frameworks such as PostGIS or GeoJSON
• Experience with map rendering libraries
