About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable software solutions aligned with business needs for the Upstream business.
- Deliver functionality across the full application stack, including frontend interfaces, backend services, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into working software.
- Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, including OOAD, SOLID principles, testing, and automation.
- Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, scalability, and security.
- Work independently across time zones and collaborate effectively with global teams using Agile methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Angular or React.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with C# and ASP.NET Core (Web Apps, APIs).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with the .NET framework.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud development.
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipeline configuration (Azure DevOps or GitHub).
- Expertise in SQL Server and writing optimized queries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python or a strong willingness to upskill.
- Exposure to the Oil & Gas industry and geoscience applications (e.g., Petrel or RokDoc).
- Experience with Docker, OpenShift, and Snowflake.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Spotfire.
