About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, scalable software solutions aligned with business needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into working software
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices including OOAD, SOLID principles, testing, and automation
  • Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, scalability, and security
  • Work independently across time zones and collaborate effectively with global teams
  • Use Agile methodologies and version control systems to manage development lifecycles

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on software development experience with WPF expertise
  • Minimum 3 years of back-end development using C# and ASP.NET Core (Web Apps, APIs)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with the .NET framework
  • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipeline configuration using Azure DevOps (ADO) or GitHub
  • Strong understanding of system design, microservices, monolithic architectures, and serverless computing
  • Ability to debug and profile desktop applications to resolve bugs and performance issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python or a strong willingness to upskill
  • Exposure to the Oil & Gas industry and geoscience applications like Petrel or RokDoc
  • Experience with Docker, OpenShift, and Snowflake
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Spotfire
