Full-Stack Data Scientist - Pricing

Responsibilities

• Own the models behind marketplace pricing for travelers and partners across all markets and stores
• Design and ship dynamic pricing logic based on seasonality, occupancy, and local demand
• Build search pricing algorithms to balance conversion, contribution margin, and supply fairness
• Manage two-sided pricing equations, including traveler costs, partner earnings, and take rates
• Optimize for contribution margin and unit economics of each reservation
• Design and measure promotions, discounts, and incentives using causal experiments
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate analytical insights into action
• Improve the Data-Focused Agentic Layer to make operational insights self-serve

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative field (statistics, economics, math, or engineering) or relevant experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in pricing, revenue management, or marketplace incentives
• Experience in consumer marketplaces, travel/hospitality, ride-share, or e-commerce
• Strong intuition for price elasticity, willingness-to-pay, and demand modeling
• Experience designing dynamic pricing or ranking systems in production
• Proficiency with causal inference techniques (geo experiments, switchbacks, synthetic control)
• Knowledge of Agentic Tooling: Claude, Jules, or Codex is a must
• Experience with data visualization and orchestration tools (Amplitude, Tableau, Hex, Airflow)
• Professional proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies and data warehousing concepts
• Ability to reason about two-sided marketplace equilibrium and long-term supply/demand dynamics
