Full Service Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations for a high-volume dining service, including bargaining unit, part-time, and student employees.
• Maintain and improve standards of food quality, service, and sanitation across multiple food service platforms.
• Oversee the use of various kitchen equipment including Mongolian grills, convection ovens, tilt skillets, and industrial dish machines.
• Support departmental objectives, practice good public relations, and maintain security control.
• Manage production needs and portion sizes through effective administrative and math skills.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalency.
• Managerial ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire).
• Two years of supervisory experience in food service or three years of successful work experience in a restaurant or university dining operation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general internet usage.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively (up to 60 pounds for Central Production).
• Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods and work in wet, hot, or cold kitchen environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a unionized workplace.
• Associate degree in culinary arts, business, or restaurant and hospitality management.
• Experience with Cbord software.
• Previous experience in high-volume institutions such as universities, hospitals, or hotels.
• Experience working with diverse, multicultural staff and student populations.
