Fuels Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Direct, manage, and supervise various trade groups on Department of Defense (DoD) construction project sites
• Ensure projects maintain required schedules through organized planning, monitoring, and inspection
• Prepare schedules, pay estimates, and 3-week look aheads
• Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to ensure timely site availability
• Assist project engineers with defining subcontract scopes of work and verifying subcontractor progress
• Inspect work quality to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract standards
• Lead weekly progress meetings and assist with Quality Control preparatory meetings and inspections
• Support project estimates, bid packages, and budget preparation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, or Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in POL (petroleum, oil, and lubricants) facilities, tank rehabilitation, or emergency inspection OR 8 years of general construction experience as a Site Superintendent
• Completion of the Construction for Quality Management for Contractor course
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local construction laws, regulations, and codes
• Fluency in written and verbal English
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate requirements to staff and subcontractors

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DoD construction projects
• Experience serving as a Site Superintendent in remote or austere environments
• API 653 certification
• API 570 certification
