Fuels Quality Control Manager/SSHO

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Quality Control (QC) for Department of Defense (DOD) construction projects.
• Prepare and update the QC Plan and implement the “Three Phases of Control” for all work features.
• Perform onsite inspections to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and high service standards.
• Prepare and submit daily quality control reports and conduct weekly CQC meetings.
• Oversee the review and approval of design and construction submittals and maintain As-Built drawings.
• Act as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), preparing and implementing health and safety plans.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, tailgate meetings, and mishap investigations.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve health and safety deficiencies on the jobsite.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences with at least 3 years of experience as a Construction CQC, OR a minimum of 8 years of construction experience as a Construction CQC.
• 5 years of combined experience as a QC Manager and SSHO on similar size and type construction contracts.
• Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 requirements.
• Completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction safety class or equivalent formal training.
• Proven experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.
• Degree in Safety and Health.
• Additional 3-5 years of specialized construction safety experience.
