About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update the Quality Control (QC) Plan for Department of Defense (DoD) construction projects.
  • Implement the “Three Phases of Control” for all definable features of work.
  • Perform onsite inspections to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and high service standards.
  • Stop work that does not comply with contract requirements and direct the removal or replacement of defective work.
  • Prepare and submit daily quality control reports and conduct weekly onsite QC meetings.
  • Oversee the review and approval of design and construction submittals.
  • Coordinate onsite and offsite testing and maintain accurate testing logs.
  • Ensure As-Built drawings are updated daily and perform punch-list and pre-final inspections.
  • Review invoices to ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Sciences from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Superintendent, Project Manager, or Project Engineer within the last ten years.
  • At least five (5) years of field experience as a CQC Manager specifically involving repairs to DoD petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL) facilities, tank rehabilitation, or tank cleaning.
  • Thorough knowledge of USACE EM-385-1-1 requirements, including hazard identification and safety compliance.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards including API Std 650, API Std 653, API RP 2016, and API Std 2015.
  • Successful completion of the "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" course.
