Fuel Distribution Systems Mechanical Tech B

Responsibilities

• Implement the operation, maintenance, and repair of hazardous propellant, cryogenic, and high-pressure gas storage and distribution systems.
• Perform life support operations, including the donning and doffing of SCBA and SCAPE equipment when handling toxic gases.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair life support equipment such as Environmental Control Units (ECU) and Emergency Breathing Apparatus (EBA).
• Conduct inspection and testing of high-pressure gas bottles, tanks, pipelines, valves, and regulators to identify leaks or malfunctions.
• Execute the transfer, loading, and unloading of hazardous propellant commodities and cryogenic fluids.
• Perform fabrication and installation of gage and pressure control panels based on technical drawings and sketches.
• Operate tractor-trailer configurations, general-purpose vehicles, and forklifts as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and operational records for assigned functional areas.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Two years of related work experience.
• At least one year of specific experience in the same type of work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by the Department of Defense.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of a Class A CDL, or the ability to train for and obtain a Class A CDL.
