Fuel Assistance Program Director

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day workflow, planning, implementation, and evaluation of Energy Assistance and Crisis Prevention Programs, including LIHEAP and EAP.
• Supervise program staff, including the Energy/Crisis Coordinator and accounts payable personnel.
• Oversee fiscal management, including staffing budgets, payroll tracking, and crisis fund expenditures.
• Design and implement community outreach efforts to encourage participation from lower-income populations.
• Ensure program compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Develop work plans, internal operating policies, and management information systems to track program activity.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for state agencies and the Chief Operating Officer.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, community organizations, and governmental officials.

Requirements

• BA/BS in business or human service administration (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Proven experience managing federally funded programs.
• Strong proficiency in computer systems and software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
• Experience in program design, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ECOS software.
• Familiarity with general accounting practices and supervisory experience.
