FSQR Pre-Sorter Level 1 B

Responsibilities

• Monitor USDA-FSIS regulatory activities and ensure plant compliance with regulatory standards
• Act as a liaison between USDA-FSIS and plant operations
• Use specialized tools and knives to incise lymph nodes and perform necessary cuts to prepare carcasses and parts for inspection
• Maintain frequent communication and interaction with USDA-FSIS inspectors

Requirements

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Experience in beef processing with demonstrated knife skills
• Basic knowledge of safe food handling and employee safety practices
• Basic math skills for reading weights, measurements, and coordinating lot numbers
• Ability to stand for several hours, work in hot and humid environments, and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual skills (English and Spanish)
• Strong understanding of USDA-FSIS requirements
• Ability to learn technical procedures and concepts quickly
• Ability to manage conflict and enforce established procedures
