Frontend Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical leader for the frontend platform and foundations powering the Clumio SaaS experience
• Design, build, and operate frontend systems, including component libraries, design systems, and common infrastructure
• Drive cross-cutting frontend initiatives that span multiple product teams and applications
• Lead complex technical initiatives from problem definition through production rollout and adoption
• Remain deeply hands-on by writing and reviewing code and solving complex application and platform challenges
• Partner with Engineering Directors, product managers, and designers to guide technical direction and mentor engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 8+ years of professional frontend/UI engineering experience with ownership of large-scale web applications
• Hands-on experience with modern frameworks such as React (preferred), Next.js, or Vue.js
• Advanced TypeScript knowledge, including advanced typing patterns and type-safe architectures
• Experience with frontend build systems and tooling such as Webpack, Rollup, or Vite
• Experience with modern unit testing practices using React Testing Library and Jest
• Experience with state management and data-fetching solutions like React Query
