Frontend Engineer

About the Company

Outpost is building the AI global trade engine, providing the infrastructure for merchants to sell internationally by handling tax compliance, liability, and complex financial operations across 58+ jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to frontend architecture and development
• Build scalable, maintainable React applications
• Establish frontend best practices and coding standards
• Create intuitive interfaces for complex financial operations
• Design and implement responsive, cross-browser solutions
• Develop reusable component libraries
• Integrate with backend services and APIs
• Lead development of AI-enhanced user interfaces

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript with type modeling
• Experience with React (functional components, hooks, context, routing)
• Ability to write modular, declarative, and reusable code
• Track record of building complex web applications
• Understanding of UI/UX best practices
• Comfort using LLMs and LLM-powered IDEs for prototyping and refactoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with design systems or testing frameworks
• Experience building internal tools or dashboards
• Fintech or compliance industry experience
• Familiarity with LLM agent frameworks (e.g., v0, Lovable)
• Experience in e-commerce or SaaS
