Frontend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality, performant, and scalable frontend features for our webshop using React and TypeScript
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and QA Managers to transform requirements into user-friendly features
• Take an active role in solving complex technical problems and architecting innovative, sustainable frontend solutions
• Own large projects from conception to deployment with a high degree of independence
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
• Optimize frontend architecture, performance (Core Web Vitals), and development workflows

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in frontend development
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Deep experience with the React ecosystem (e.g., Hooks, Context)
• Strong skills in HTML and modern CSS (e.g., CSS-in-JS, Responsive Design)
• Solid understanding of frontend testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library
• Experience with REST-API integration and state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, React Query)
• Familiarity with build tools like Webpack or Vite and package managers like npm or yarn
• Strong knowledge of web performance optimization and accessibility (a11y)
• Proficiency with Git and familiarity with CI/CD workflows
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of personal responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Server-Side Rendering (SSR)
• Experience working in a large-scale e-commerce environment
• Knowledge of Node.js
• Experience building or maintaining design systems or component libraries
• Experience with end-to-end testing tools like Cypress
