About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the smooth running of the front office department to ensure property and company standards are met
- Lead and collaborate with the team to maximize guest satisfaction and resolve enquiries
- Support front office strategies and objectives, deputizing for the Head of Department when necessary
- Foster a culture of growth, development, and performance within the team
- Control departmental costs and inventory to attain target productivity levels
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Implement guest engagement programmes, including environmental and conservation initiatives
- Ensure adherence to all legislation and due diligence requirements for audits
Requirements
- Proven experience in a front office position, ideally in a hotel environment
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
- Commitment to exceptional guest service and the hospitality industry
- Ability to find creative solutions and offer professional recommendations
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and work across cultures
