About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and via phone
- Greet patients promptly and professionally
- Answer internal and external phone calls with courtesy
- Manage patient flow and office communication to maximize efficiency
- Double check insurance authorizations and build accurate flow sheets
- Check out patients and collect payments according to procedures
- Complete daily reconciliations and cash drawer countdowns
- Comply with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
- Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year in a customer or patient-facing role
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to pass a state-required background check
- Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the US
- Physical ability to walk (75%), sit (50%), and stand (50%)
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
