About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and via telephone
- Greet patients promptly and manage professional office communications
- Answer internal and external phone calls with courtesy and urgency
- Verify insurance authorizations and maintain accurate flow sheets
- Manage patient check-in/out processes and collect payments according to procedure
- Coordinate patient flow to maximize office efficiency and minimize wait times
- Perform daily financial reconciliations and cash drawer management
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
- Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting
- Previous experience in an ophthalmic clinical environment
