About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and via telephone
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments
- Answer internal and external phone calls with prompt and courteous service
- Verify insurance authorizations and maintain accurate flow sheets
- Manage patient flow within the office to maximize efficiency
- Perform daily reconciliations and cash drawer close-out procedures
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
- Assist with general office duties and clinical cleaning as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
- Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office setting
- Previous experience in ophthalmic services
