Front Office Specialist

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact to provide a world-class Total Patient Experience
• Greet patients promptly and provide exceptional customer service in person and via phone
• Manage patient flow and office communication to maximize efficiency
• Answer internal and external phone calls with prompt and courteous service
• Verify insurance authorizations and build accurate flow sheets
• Check out patients and collect payments according to established procedures
• Perform daily reconciliations, including closing the day and counting cash drawers
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
• Assist with general office duties and cleaning as assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
• Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a medical office
• Previous experience in an ophthalmic clinical setting
