Front Office Specialist

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience
• Provide exceptional customer service in person and via telephone
• Greet patients promptly and manage professional office communications
• Answer internal and external phone calls with courtesy and urgency
• Verify insurance authorizations and maintain accurate flow sheets
• Manage patient check-out processes and collect payments according to procedure
• Coordinate patient flow to maximize office efficiency and service quality
• Perform daily financial reconciliations and cash drawer management
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
• Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office setting
• Previous experience in an ophthalmic environment
