About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience
  • Provide exceptional customer service in person and via telephone
  • Manage patient flow and office communication to maximize clinical efficiency
  • Handle administrative tasks including answering phones and greeting patients
  • Verify insurance authorizations and build accurate flow sheets
  • Process patient check-outs and collect payments according to company procedures
  • Perform daily financial reconciliations and cash drawer management
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and HIPAA regulations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
  • Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a medical office setting
  • Prior experience in an ophthalmic clinical environment
