About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and via telephone
- Manage patient flow and office communication to maximize clinical efficiency
- Handle administrative tasks including answering phones and greeting patients
- Verify insurance authorizations and build accurate flow sheets
- Process patient check-outs and collect payments according to company procedures
- Perform daily financial reconciliations and cash drawer management
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
- Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting
- Prior experience in an ophthalmic clinical environment
