About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and via telephone.
- Manage patient flow and office communication to maximize clinical efficiency.
- Handle administrative tasks including answering phones, checking in/out patients, and collecting payments.
- Verify insurance authorizations and maintain accurate flow sheets.
- Perform daily financial reconciliations and cash drawer management.
- Comply with all company policies and HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of right to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting.
- Prior experience in an ophthalmic or eye care environment.
