About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee front desk operations including staffing, training, and supervision
  • Ensure exceptional guest service standards during arrival, departure, and in-house stays
  • Manage departmental expenses, labor budgets, and overtime
  • Monitor guest feedback and surveys to ensure brand compliance and service improvement
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage front office staff recruitment and coaching
  • Act as Manager on Duty and ensure compliance with safety and emergency protocols
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of front desk leadership experience
  • Proficiency in PMS systems and computer literacy
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong knowledge of loyalty programs, cash/credit handling, and hospitality law
  • Excellent communication and conflict management skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (75%+ of shift)
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hyatt systems experience (Opera, Colleague Advantage)
  • Associate’s degree or higher
