Front Office Assistant

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive schedules for doctors and hygienists
• Verify insurance coverage, fee schedules, and complete full insurance breakdowns for patients
• Complete pre-authorizations and referrals, gathering all necessary information for claim processing
• Coordinate financial agreements and consent forms regarding patient financial responsibility
• Assist patients with understanding treatment plans to increase dental case acceptance
• Maintain accurate patient records with strict adherence to HIPAA Privacy Practices
• Manage office operations including phone calls, mail, and patient billing inquiries

Requirements

• 1-2 years of dental office experience required
• Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Practices
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 15 pounds
• Ability to work in a clinical environment with potential exposure to hazardous waste

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience using Open Dental software
