Front Office Assistant

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive schedules for doctors and hygienists
• Verify insurance coverage, fee schedules, and complete full insurance breakdowns for patients
• Complete pre-authorizations and referrals to ensure accurate claim processing
• Coordinate financial agreements and consent forms regarding patient financial responsibility
• Assist patients with understanding treatment plans to increase case acceptance
• Manage patient check-in, registration, and maintain accurate dental records in compliance with HIPAA
• Oversee efficient office operations including phone calls, mail, and patient billing inquiries

Requirements

• Proven customer service experience
• Experience in a dental office (preferred)
• Strong skills in insurance verification and scheduling management
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and privacy practices
• Ability to multitask and maintain calm efficiency in a fast-paced environment
