Front Office Assistant

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive schedules for doctors and hygienists
• Verify insurance coverage, fee schedules, and complete full insurance breakdowns for patients
• Complete pre-authorizations and referrals, gathering all necessary information for claim processing
• Coordinate financial agreements and consent forms regarding patient financial responsibility
• Assist patients with understanding treatment plans to increase dental case acceptance
• Manage patient check-in, registration, and maintain health records with strict adherence to HIPAA Privacy Practices
• Oversee efficient office operations including phone calls, mail, and patient billing inquiries

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a dental practice
• Proficiency in insurance verification and dental billing
• Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy
• Excellent communication skills to assist patients with treatment plans and financial coordination
