Front of House (Server, Cashier, Barista)

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold coffee drinks following specified recipes
• Operate cash register systems and process cash, credit, and ID card transactions
• Adhere to cash handling policies and standards
• Serve food and beverages to patrons in an efficient and friendly manner
• Stock service areas with supplies including coffee, food, and tableware
• Answer customer questions regarding menu items and make recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness of cashier areas and general cafe using proper sanitation standards
• Ensure retail and display items meet established display standards

Requirements

• Must possess or obtain current Oregon Food Handler’s card
• Ability to work in a crowded, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent bending, stooping, and extensive walking
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous serving experience
