About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a multi-line switchboard, handling calls professionally and forwarding them to the appropriate departments.
- Greet visitors, clients, and contractors, determining the nature of their visit and issuing electronic passes.
- Manage the meeting room system and organize client refreshments.
- Provide administrative support to the Managing Director.
- Assist the Travel Department with booking flights, hotels, rail, and car hires, and consolidate monthly credit card statements.
- Sort daily outgoing mail, messages, and ad hoc deliveries.
- Perform various ad hoc administrative duties as required.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a comparable receptionist or administrative position.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proven experience working in a highly professional environment.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage priorities under pressure.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- A degree in Travel or Business is desirable.
- Knowledge of travel booking procedures.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
